The Western Business Council (WBC) has hailed the appointment of Professor Soji Adesugba as the Managing Director of Nigerian Export Processing Zones Authority, describing the development as “a bright news for Nigerian investment and business space”
In a statement signed by its Director, Babatunde Jones, the WBC noted that “the extensive and multifocus experience of the appointee ably qualified him for the exalted office ” even as it commended President Muhammadu for selecting an experienced investment professional for the headship of NEPZA.
“The appointment has definitely inform the local and international business communities of a positive policy direction of the administration of President Muhammad Buhari as an investor-friendly government as nations struggles to mitigate the negative impact of the COVID19 effect on economies and markets world wide. Professor Adesugba is an active actor in the field of business and Investment promotion.
While wishing the new NEPZA boss best of tenure,the WBC expressed its readiness to collaborate with the new management for the realisation of the mandate of the agency
“As a Pro-Business Think and Do Tank, focussing on “pulling man and resource together to tackle the issue of economic revitalization and develolment of South West Region, the entire steering committee of the Western Business Council hopes to support and work with the new leadership to drive diaspira investment into the region and the nation”, the statement concluded.
