We Will Vote You Out In 2019 Over Failed Promises, Anguwar Magaji Community, Others Tell Bindow

Residents of Anguwar Magaji, Padde Girei and Padde Sanda in Yola South local government area of Adamawa state have vowed to ensure the defeat of governor Muhammadu Umaru Jibrilla Bindow over failed promises.

 

Making the disclosure, a community leader and Imam of Masjidi Sahaba rasslulullahi in Anguwar Magaji, Mallam Usman Liman said they residents deemed it fit to I take the decision to avenge the betrayal meted to them by governor Bindow.

 

Liman noted that the people of the area regretted voting APC and Bindow en masse in 2015 noting that their living conditions only plummeted in the last three and half years under what he called the “inglorious and inept reign of APC.”

 

He noted that in the wake of the roads rehabilitation in the state capital, governor Bindow has visited Anguwar Magaji where he had on the spot assessment of the un-motorable road leading to the area as well as seeing the gully erosion ravaging the area but despite seeing the pathetic conditions of the people, the governor simply refused to do anything about the people’s plight.

 

“Because of desperate need to address the problems enumerated, a high powered delegation of eminent persons from the area including civil servants, religious, traditional and political leaders from the area escalate their concerns to the speaker who is also from the local government.

 

“In turn, the speaker convened a meeting with the stakeholders including Magaji, himself, Mahmud Magaji and a traditional ruler from Michika who told the speaker the relevance of constructing that road as they noted that it was the road the colonial masters used to access Yola.

 

“Because of the importance of the delegation and the issues at stake, the speaker took selected elders from among them to Bindow and after telling him their concerns vis a vis the importance of the road, the governor promised to construct the road and the challenges of gully erosion ravaging the area,” He said.

 

Also a youth leader in the area Tijjani Nagazargamu said APC and Bindow have neglected the area and they will pay them back in bitter pills for the neglect.

 

“In 2015 we trooped out with our wives, children and relatives to endorse Bindow, but we happened to be the most neglected people by Bindow. You need to come to this area during rainy season to appreciate our predicament.

 

“In fact some areas who opposed the governor during in 2015 like Numan, fared better than us who toiled amidst very inclement weather to vote Bindow. Now we know better that Bindow does not have us in his thinking,” Nagazargamu said.
