We Will Strive To Protect The Interest Of Our Members-Chairmanship Candidate of Nasarawa NUJ

The chairmanship contender of the Nasarawa state council of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, Comrade Dogo Shamah has promised to consolidate on his past record so as to move the union to an enviable height.

Shammah stated this when his campaign team visit the Correspondents’ Chapel in continuation of his campaign tour ahead of 31st March 2017 election, the former chairman of the council said if elected he will strive to protect the interest of members.

“We will ensure that we protect our members from wanton and unwholesome intimidation in the cause of discharging their responsibility”.

Dogo shammah said he will accord attention to the immediate need of members he also promised to give the press centre a facelift as well make it lively.

Dogo shammah commended the Correspondents ‘ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists for the support as he described the NUJ as one of the vibrant profession.

He assured the members that he would revive the sales of kerosene to members at a cheaper rate by the mega station in the state.

Chairman of the Correspondents’ Chapel, Suleiman Abubakar who is also the chairman of the electoral committee in his address distance himself from siding any candidate as he said he will remain neutral

“I belong to the entire contestant” as he promised to discharge the assignment bestowed on him by the Union, saying he would be strictly guided by the constitution of the union.
