We Cant Afford To Fail Our People-Governor Sule Tell Commissioners

Nasarawa State Governor,Engineer Abdullahi Sule has admonished the newly sworn-in Commissioners to abide by  the tenets of transparency,probity and Accountability as the watchword of the incumbent administration in the State.

The Governor gave the hint during the swearing in ceremony of sixteen cabinet members at the Government House.

He however tasked the appointees to also abide by the template of the Nasarawa Economic Development Strategy to build an egalitarian State.

According to the Governor “Our people are expecting more from us and for this reason we can’t afford to fail them”.

He said the nomination of the 17 commissioners was based on their wealth of experience and requisite ideology which will serves as an impetus for sharp progress.

“within the week we will replaced name of one of the nominee from Nasarawa Eggon who did not show up for screening before the State House of Assembly”.

The Governor said arrangement is on the pipeline for the sharing of Federal Government palliative to cushion the effect of subsidy removal by the President.

“We have constituted committees at the Local Government level to State for the distribution of palliative,He averred that Youth leaders religious groups were also involved in the exercise to ensure successful distribution”.

Calling on youths in the State to shun anything capable of disrupting the fragile peace in the State,He further cautioned youth to shun kidnapping of relatives for ransome.

The Commissioners are Munirat Abdullahi Hussaini from Doma Local Government  was sworn in as Commissioner of Finance and Economic Development while Bar.Labaran Magaji from Toto was the State Commissioner of Justice and Attorney General.

The most longest serving Commissioner,Hon.Aisha Rufa’i Ibrahim from Awe was sworn in as Commissioner for  Women Affairs,Others swon in by Governor Abdullahi Sule are the former Awe Council Chairman Umaru Dan’akano serves as Agric Commissioner.

John Mamman from Kokona Local Government was sworn in as Education Commissioner ,Mamman was the incumbent Chairman of the ruling party in the State,while Mohammed Iyimoga the formet Chairman of obi Local Government was the Commissioner for Trade and Commerce.

Other newly sworn in commissioners  are Tijjani Ahmed Aliyu from Nasarawa Local Government to marred Ministry for Local Government,Community Development and Chieftaincy Affairs,Bar.Abubakar Zanwa from Lafia was in charged of Water Resources and the current State Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress,Hon.John Mamman from Kokona to Ministry of Education.

While Engba Samuel from Lafia was in charged of Ministry of Science and Technology,Hon. Muazu Adamu Gosho from Wamba in charged of Ministry for Works,Housing and Transport,Hon Gwamna Shekwolo Gaza from Toto Health.

Jafaru Ango from Karu,Youth and Sports Development,Princess Magrette Elayo from Keana was in charged of Special Duties,Hon.Ibrahim Malo Mulki

Hon.Tijjani in a vote of thanks appreciate their appointment giving the assurance of their total commitment to State Affairs.

Saying the State Executive Council will not fail the Governor in the discharged of their duties.
