It took the tight security over 10 minutes to quell the stoning by shooting tear gas as the aggrieved IDPs followed the convoy of the governor to a football field where the governor’s chopper was.
The incident forced the governor to jettison his planned visit to the Awe, Keana and other IDP’S camp.
The peace IDPs camp became volatile as TIV speaking people insisted that the governor would not address them shouting “Our people are missing in the bush.
While others are saying, “There is death everywhere; our family are killed by Fulani’s in the bush.
“We don’t need relief materials we want to go back to our houses”.
