The Peoples Democratic ( PDP)Wase Local Government Council Initiative For Good Governance, Transparency , Justice , Equity, and Fairness have decried of exclusion of Wase Youths from the Agricultural Empowerment initiative held in Abuja , as it said the exercise is a disservice to Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang administration.
Chairman Comr. Ibrahim Abubakar has challenged the State Commissioners for Youth and Sports and for Agriculture to come clear by telling the world why they exclude Wase Youth from the initiative.
He also accused the Commissioner for Agriculture of diverting the allocation of Wase fertilizer consignments, they should not hesitate to tell the world so that the people of Wase would know who or where to apportion appropriate blame.
In a statement made available to this medium in Jos signed by Chairman Comr. Ibrahim Abubakar, Publicity Secretary , Comr. Nandom Miri, Comr. Sunusi Saleh, the Secretary-General
The statement read,”With a very heavy heart, the Wase PDP Initiative for Good Governance, Transparency, Justice, Equity and Fairness writes to register her displeasure at the exclusion of Wase Youth from a very laudable Plateau State Government initiative that seeks to among other things empower our young people on the Plateau with requisite skills in the art and science of modern mechanized agricultural practices.
“Wase, as a local government area is known for being a land of Agriculture and her motto is ” The Land of Agriculture” which goes a long way to show how agriculturally inclined Wase has been on the Plateau. As such, we believe if young people should be trained on Agriculture in the State, Wase youth should be the focus.
“It is unfortunate that following discrete investigations after reading on the Social Media of the collaborative Training at the instance of the State ministries of Youth and Sports and that of Agriculture, the Wase Initiative for Good Governance, Transparency, Justice, Equity and Fairness is shocked to discover that there is no Wase indigene among the participants, the Chairman stated.
Abubakar lamented that considering the importance of the initiative, no community would like to be left out. Plateau youth in their hundreds of numbers, receiving special training in Abuja on Agriculture for that matter as part of efforts of His Excellency, Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang to address youth restiveness and make them gainfully employed but nobody was there from Wase.
According to him,Wase PDP Initiative for Good Governance, Transparency, Justice Equity and Fairness is quite disturbing to notice that NO YOUNG PERSON from Wase participating in that far-reaching impact initiative.
We, therefore, challenge the State Commissioners for Youth and Sports and for Agriculture to come clear by telling the world why they excluded Wase Youth from the initiative.
If slots for Wase were diverted as our fertilizer consignments were diverted to, they should not hesitate to tell the world so that the people of Wase would know who or where to apportion appropriate blame.
We would like to, at this juncture draw the attention of Governor Mutfwang’s lieutenants to the activities of some individuals within the fold of the government who are capable of portraying our enthroned Government in bad lights for necessary actions to be taken before they wreak irreversible havoc on the integrity of our government.
We are notwithstanding, still confident in and hopeful about the Mutfwang led Government that it would be fair to our people and indeed all citizens of the State.
We further appeal for urgent reversal of this act of injustice meted out against our people.
Effort to speak to two commissioners proved abortive as they didn’t answer their calls.
