APC gubernatorial aspirant, Maurice Vunobolki, has urged party leaders to ensure transparent and credible primaries ahead of the 2027 election.
Vunobolki made the call in Yola during his formal declaration to contest the 2027 governorship election in Adamawa State.
According to him,“the process must be transparent and credible to give all aspirants a level playing field.
“The race would be competitive, so we expect a keen contest, but fairness and openness must guide the primaries.” he said.
The aspirant emphasised unity within the APC, calling on members to close ranks and work together ahead of the primaries.
He said his decision to contest was driven by passion for the people and commitment to improving their welfare.
He listed his priorities to include economic revitalisation, infrastructure development, improved education, healthcare delivery, and youth empowerment.
He noted that only a united party could secure electoral victory and deliver meaningful transformation in the state.
Vunobolki stressed the need for purposeful leadership, inclusive governance, and accelerated development across Adamawa.
According to him, the state’s human and natural resources must be effectively harnessed to achieve sustainable growth.
Mr Mohammed Abdullahi, APC Adamawa State Publicity Secretary, said Vunobolki’s entry adds a new dimension to the contest.
Abdullahi described the aspirant as an experienced leader capable of delivering development and effective governance.
He noted that securing the party’s ticket would depend on grassroots support, strategic alliances, and strong political backing.
