The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, Victor Oye has called on the people of Nasarawa State to vote the party for the sake of their freedom.
The Chairman disclosed this during the handing over of flags to flagbearer in Plateau,Niger and Nasarawa held at the Lafia Square.
Oye called on the people of Nasarawa State to use the only opportunity to salvage the citizenry from the current bondage under the ruling, All Progressives Congress under the headship of governor,Umaru Tanko Al-Makura.
“People of Nasarawa State would be liberated from poverty, percentage payment of salaries and pension..
“If our party emerged victorious Labaran Maku would copy the template of Anambra State governor, Willie Obiano to making sure that salaries are paid promptly by the 25th of every month
In Nasarawa State Maku if elected would also copy the strategies introduce by Obiano to restore security challenged ranging from kidnapping, robbery and other miscellaneous crimes.
The National Chairman promised a fresh air to all and sundry in Nasarawa State.
“It would be an end to ignorance, Insecurity, Illiteracy, maladministration, wickedness, Insensitivity if we clinch the governorship seat”.
The leader of Igbo Community , Eze Emmanuel said Labaran Maku is a tested and trusted politician who deserved support from Igbo Community.
Maku occupied various positions ranging from been a Journalists he was appointed a Commissioner of Information, Deputy governor, Minister of Information and Defense respectively.
The Association further endorsed Labaran Maku as a candidate every other party would like to beat in next month election.
Hon.Makpa Malla member Nasarawa State House of Assembly (APGA) representing Wamba Constituency attributed his defection from the ruling party to injustice.
“Saying people of Nasarawa State are tired of the status quo including the NSHA members, describing Labaran Maku as the only hope of the masses”.
In a related development, governor, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura has called on the people of Nasarawa South Senatorial zone to vote President Muhammadu Buhari and all candidates of the All Progressives Congress.
Al-Makura started this kick starting his campaign for the Nasarawa South senatorial seat in Obi local government area, saying the achievements of the party were evidence of greater things to come.
Al-Makura said his administration had recorded tremendous achievements, especially infrastructural development.
He promised to serve the people of the zone to the best of his ability if elected as senator.
The governor called on the people of the zone to be united and live in peace and harmony irrespective of religious or ethnic inclination.
He assured the monarch of his commitment to provision of more basic infrastructure to the area.
