Some children at the orphanage homes were not forgotten as the Imo State First Lady, Her Excellency Barr. (Mrs.) Chioma Uzodimma, in collaboration with the Ministry of Women Affairs and Vulnerable Groups in Imo State, was on Monday,Dec 27th 2021, held christmas fanfare for over 150 Children drawn from 15 orphanage homes across the State.
The event which held at the Children’s Recreation Park opposite the Rear Admiral Ndubuisi Kanu’s Square, RANKS, featured different game activities that enticed the little kids and made their christmas celebration memorable.
The Wife of the State Governor, Barr.Chioma, initiated this in order to spread the christmas love across and for the children to join in the merriment.
Highlight of the event was the appearance of the Santa Claus who released some gifts to the children as yuletide presence.
From her earlier sermon, Imo First Lady described the Xmas messages by her husband, the Imo Governor, Sen. Hope Uzodimma, as words of encouragement.
According to her, “Xmas is a season of love, let the love is expected go round”.
