A renowned Professor of law, Prof. Dakas C. Dakas has challenged Nigerians electorates to ensure that by the power of their votes, we will realize the change desire.
Professor Dakas stated this during the Nigerian Bar Association, Jos Branch voter education mobilization workshop at the Hill station Hotel,Jos .
He called on the INEC Chairman, Prof. Atahiru Jega to ensure that he rise up to the occasion by ensuring that Nigerians are not disenfranchised on the Election Day.
Dakas cautioned that “as Nigerians going out to cast their vote are you going to be driving by self sentiment of religion, we should make shower that the card readers work then we are going to have minor challenge in our hand”.
We must first of all realize that Nigeria play a very critical role in the continent, when you turn the map of Africa upside down you will see the shape of a gun. Which Nigeria stand a better chance .the manner in which we go about this election we should realize the continuity of this state.
The professor stressed further that many of our political gladiators make use of statement that are capable tearing us apart.
He condemned the attack on he on the convoy of President Goodluck Jonathan in some states as unacceptable.
Dakas blamed the leaders of Niger Delta for issuing threat to the unity of this country with a numbers actors describing the opposition is unacceptable and that is why I decry the problem of deficit of our ethical languages in our poverty.
We need to realize that leadership come together with responsibility to ensure that the constitution turn to take care of security and welfare also fixed in the right perspective.
Dakas noted that we need to avoid election violence and ensure that those who perpetrators the violence are brought to book.
The NBA Chairman ,Jos Branch Barr. Latep Dafer says ,no to violence before ,during and after elections and those who died from election violence have gone forever.
Dafer added that democracy is the best form of government, let us all support it, violence ,election fraud and selling of voter cards are all anti-democracy.
He explained that,” if you register and you do not vote, you provide an opportunity for others to illegally vote for you make your vote count.
