The Secretary to the Government of Nasarawa State, Hajiya Zainab Ahmed has lamented the inadequacies of Medical Doctors and Engineers in the state. The SSG challenged the people in the field to volunteer by assisting public schools and hospital with free services.
The SSG stated this when members of the University of Jos, Alumni Nasarawa state wing, visited him. The SSG decried the numbers of Government public schools in the state, adding that the state Government is mainly concerned with the quality of education.
“Our concerned is the quality of education, we accord to the younger generation not number of schools, and she raised alarm over the wage bill of the state as a pain on the neck, calling on indigents of the state to pay their tax as at when due to enable Government to provide social amenities.
Hajiya Zainab Ahmed attributed the success story of the current administration in the state to the accountability, probity in the management of state resource; the SSG ascribed the wanton disturbances witnessed in some fragment of Local Government Areas as politically motivated.
Describing peace as a catalyst for even transformation of the state, the chairman of the Association, Comrade Muktar Wakeel congratulated the state Governor, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura and his team for their landslide victory in the recent election, Wakeel described the re-election as well deserved.
Others persons congratulated by the association include the Deputy Governor, Silas Agara, the SSG, Zainab Ahmed, the Head of Service Dominic Bako who are all product of Josite. The Association commended the SSG for her gesture having been supportive to the incumbent regime of Governor Al-Makura.
He hinted that the national executive council of the Association is expected to hold it NEC meeting in the state.
