Umah Publishers To Unveil Contest In 36 States For Literary Learning

The General Manager of Umah Publishers Limited Mr. ike Tochukwu has said, they have received Federal Ministry of Education approval to organize literary, learning competition to all the secondary schools across the 36 states including Federal Capital Territory, Abuja as talent hunt to improve and boost learning.

 

Speaking to our medium in Jos on Wednesday, Tochukwu disclosed that one of their corporate responsibilities to the society is to promote reading culture and improve learning in the tertiary institutions in Africa.

 

 

He said the flag-off will soon kick-off in states which came first and had indicated interest towards encouraging their children to learning literary literature in English.

 

Ike called on Local Government Chairmen of 774 to key into the project by sponsoring more indigent students who can’t afford the cost of literary books that would be used for the upcoming contest especially those from the less privilege homes.

 

According to him ,in other to promote reading culture in schools and to improve students communication skills with well comprehensive so many novels has been outlines and design as guideline to win price laurel in all the classes .

 

He maintained that the program is aim at guiding students in their future endeavour and character of learning in developing them to become leaders.

 

Ike Tochukwu stressed further that when the program is unveil the best winner of the contest would be announce including the prices attach because Nigerian in the past has had won Nobel laurel in literature but how soon we are having another Nigeria to achieve such topmost position.

 

We are moving toward achieving a remarkable academic progress with this partnership going to be organize by Umah Publishers Ltd on literary contest in Nigeria sky would be our limit.

 

He explained that it is important we cultivate the appropriate habit amongst students in doing so urgent measure should be taken towards harnessing literary centre innovation in deepening students interest in reading novels and literature writing as they not only improve their vocabulary and writing prowess but also live us with communities of intellectuals in Nigeria.

 

He added that it is in this light that federal ministry of education commended Umah Publishers Nigeria Ltd for painstaking to organize this contest for students across the country
