UK-based RI Records, owned by a Nigerian female rapper and entrepreneur, Mr J4zzie, on Friday said that the label was conceived primarily to create a platform for remarkable young talents in Nigeria.
Mr. J4zzie, born Jasmine Remi-Ilori, told the News Agency of Nigeria in Lagos that the label was launched in January to create jobs and to raise breadwinners among the Nigerian folks.
She said that within a very short space of time, RI Records had already employed five Nigerians and was hoping to create more jobs to improve the livelihoods of many.
She said: “RI Records is excited to welcome everyone and everybody to the platform. There are so many talents in Nigeria and we want to provide a platform for young talents to showcase their amazing skills.
“Some of us are already privileged to be where we are today but if we do not give room to other younger ones with the same or even greater talents, then the society will not achieve its aim.
“So, the primary aim of RI Records is to showcase these talents to the world and to also create jobs that will reduce youth restiveness and crime. Five Nigerians are already on board.”
The rapper also revealed that there were plans to launch the label in Nigeria soon.
