Again two died in another Road mishap in Bauchi

Barely 48 hours when 18 people were feared death in an auto-crash along Bauchi- Jos road near Buzaye village, where two people were confirmed dead in another road accident along the same axis in Gumau Toro LGA of Bauchi state.

The accident as gathered involved a hiace bus and J5 boxer each heading to Taraba and Benue state apparently to off load the goods.

Eye witness account attributed the cause of the accident to over speeding and dangerous driving and caution road users to be careful while driving.

At press time, both the affected vehicles were seen at the scene of the accident with sympathizers evacuating the goods with remnants on the ground.

DSP Mohammed Haruna, spokesman, Bauchi state police command confirmed the incident saying there was fatal motor vehicle accident at Magama Town, along Bauchi Jos Federal highway involving a dark blue Toyota Hiace Bus with registration number XG-53-JJN  driven by one Adamu Tanimu Muhammed aged 40 years of Taraba State and a white Boxer J5 Bus with registration number XNK-354-XA driven by one Sani Danmalan male and 35 years of Saminaka,Kaduna State.

Haruna added that the accident occurred when the Toyota Hiace bus loaded with eggs from Jos  and heading to Taraba State had a head on collision with the J5 Bus  loaded with tomatoes  from Jama’are LGA of Bauchi and heading to Benue as  a result, the J5 Bus was gutted by fire.

Police patrol team attached to Toro Division had rushed to the scene to put off the fire and rushed the victims to General hospital Toro for medical attention.

Meanwhile, the J5 Bus driver Sani Danmalan and his passenger one Salmanu Musa male aged 33 all of Saminaka in lere LGA of Kaduna State were certified dead by a medical Doctor at ATBU Teaching hospital Bauchi, while Tanimu Adamu and Sani Mohammed all males of Taraba State are responding to treatment at general hospital Toro.

The Corpses has been deposited at ATBU Teaching hospital mortuary for post-mortem examination.

However, the Police said that the case is under investigation and effort is ongoing to ascertain actual cause of the accident.
