The news of the demise of Sultan Ibrahim Dasuki was received with shock, but as mortals waiting for our appointed time, we take consolation that he has played his part in the development of the Nigerian nation through various platforms of service delivery to humanity. He was indeed an unassuming and affable to all that come his way. However, our solace lies in Allah the Most High, as His decree cannot be altered.
As the 1st substantive Secretary-General, JNI, appointed in March, 1968, he assiduously galvanized for the unity of the Nigerian Muslims and also responded aptly to issues as they unfold. Similarly, as the President-General, JNI when he held sway as the 18th Sultan of Sokoto, he championed the cause of the Muslims.
It is our du’a to Allah, the Most Beneficent and the Most Merciful to forgive the late Sultan Ibrahim Dasuki and grant him Jannatul Firdaus (the garden of bliss). Our condolence goes to the immediate family of the late Sultan, the Sultanate Council under the leadership of His Eminence, Alh. Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, CFR, the Sokoto State Government and the entire Muslim Ummah.
