The governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the 2023 gubernatorial election in Adamawa State, Dr. Umar Ardo has confirmed that the election petitions tribunal will deliver judgement on Monday 2 October 2023.
Ardo told our reporter via phone that the tribunal has communicated the date to him as an interested party.
The All-Progressives Congress (APC) as well as its gubernatorial candidate, Sen. Aishatu Binani are also interested parties in the case.
Adamawa APC vows to protect Binani;s mandate
Both Binani and Ardo who emerged as first and second runner-up in the highly disputed election are contesting the legitimacy of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s declaration as the authentic winner of the polls.
