Total Women Foundation President Speaks On The Role Of Women As Agents Of Reform And Helpers

The President  of Total Women Foundation  (TOWOF)  in conjunction  with  WOMAC ,Mrs Felicia  Lament Gyang  has said  they are focusing  on holistic development  of the  women by training them, equipping and empowering  them to fulfill  their God-given mandate as daughters, wives,  mothers, active  members of the church and  also helpers of man’s destiny and  as agents of change.

 

She made this known to journalists during a programme of the group in Jos, the two groups Presidents

TOWOF, WOMAC  said, the activity of the ministry is a wakeup call to Christians and women to rise up to their calling in this evil generation as we have realized that women have a key role to play in finding a lasting solution to the problems confronting  our world today.

 

According to her, this year’s theme is “occupy till I come” the conference is a call to the church to occupy themselves with  God’s business as they await his coming  , last year the conference focused on the family as a solution to social problems.

 

She said  TOWOF is working hard impact positively on the well-being of their husbands and promote peaceful coexistence especially with the increasing rate of crime in the society.

 

Mrs. Gyang said; “I tell you, women, that your husband is your first born, we are asking our members to pray for the country and their families the same way they pray for their children.

 

She charged women to submit themselves to their husbands, love them so that they can be who God wants them to be. A woman is also considered as an active member of a church; “as I stand here I believe that the blessings of God are upon my life. Women today are also considered as Elders in the church,   they are also missionaries in most of our villages, the majority of who are either married or single and are also doing the work of God.

 

Mrs. Gyang said they are impacting positively to the society through the work of evangelism; “I want to state that it is only God that has the blueprint for peace that is why Jesus Christ is called the Prince of Peace.
