Tinubu Urges To Step Down For Aregbesola For Better Nigeria, Says OPF Leader

Dan Opara

A Non-political presure group under the aegis of Owerri/Orlu/Okigwe Progressive Forum,OPF, has urged the former Governor of Lagos State, Bola Ahmad Tinubu,  to drop his ambition and step down for Chief Raul Aregbesola, the Minister of Interior for a better Nigeria.

Addressing newsmen in Owerri, the Imo State Capital, the OPF National Co-ordinator, Hon. Kelechi Okwara,  stated that Nigeria as a country is already in shambles and would not afford to remain in such a comatose conditions but deserves a leader of both sound knowledge and good health as a president come 2023 after the elections.

Hon.Okwara described such ambition from Tinubu as dead on arrival giving non-support from his core loyalists, according to him, Bola Tinubu has outlived his political carriers as a good leader who has paid his dues in both state and national politics he should think out of a box by  supporting one of his fineness such as his former Commissioner for Works, former Governor of Osun State and the current Minister for Interior, Raul Aregbesola a detribalized Nigerian instead of presenting himself to contest for the presidential seat.

He maintained that the only way for the party APC to  enjoy the support of all Nigerians is for Tinubu to  withdraw his ambition and present a sellable candidate or else the party will loss.

In his words  “Tinubu, is a good leader, but he should drop his ambition and step down for Obeni Rauf Aregbesola,  one of his best and core loyalist, a notable workaholic leader with sound health to be the next president of Nigeria.

Indeed, Rauf Aregbesola was the former Governor of Osun State and current Minister for Interior, he is a detribalized national leader, a muslim by belief and christain by character, Rauf Aregbesola is distinguished in all ramifications,  a man always ready to lay his life to salvage his people therefore we are using the opportunity to call on him to contest for the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in 2023 general elections”, Hon Kelechi submitted.
