Nigeria’s Super Eagles have three players; Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman, and Calvin Bassey selected in the Team of the Tournament of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, Prompt News reports.
The selection is dominated by players from the finalists, champions Senegal and hosts Morocco,who have four players each.
Morocco’s Yassine Bounou, who was outstanding between the posts and claimed the Golden Glove award earned his place in goal.
In defence , Bassey is partnered in central defence by Senegal’s Moussa Niakhaté.
Calvin Bassey impressed with his authority in one-on-one situations and calm distribution, finishing the tournament with the most completed passes and clearances.
Morocco’s full-backs Noussair Mazraoui and Achraf Hakimi complete the four-man defence.
Lookman is joined in midfield by Senegalese
duo of Idrissa Gana Gueye and Pape Gueye.
The three-man attack comprises of Osimhen, Sadio Mane of Senegal, and Morocco’s Brahim Diaz.
