There Are No IDPs In Nasarawa State-NASEMA Boss Tell Journalists

The Executive Secretary of the Nasarawa State Emergency Management Agency (NASEMA) Bar. Zachary Allumaga has disclosed that Nasarawa State is devoid of Internally Displaced Persons following a reprisal attack meted on Tiv in Ajimaka Community of Doma Local Government.

 

Allumaga gave the disclosure precisely at 10:35 am (Friday) at the Agency headquarters, He further explained that is not aware of any crisis and IDP’s in the State.

 

“If you need any information about the crisis in Nasarawa State goes to His Excellency, I’m on my way to Nasarawa Eggon”.

 

It could be recalled that Fulani herders strike Ajimaka Community; A Tiv populated cluster killing nine persons on the spot.

 

The Overseer of. Ekye Development Area, Bello Akoza confirmed the Killing of nine persons by Fulani’s in Ajimaka.

 

An investigation conducted revealed that over 2000 farmers, mostly Alago from Doma, Ankoma, Doka flee for safety in spite of the presence of soldiers in selected locations.

 

IDPs by the investigation are leaving in either house of their relatives or uncomplicated buildings while others are moving helter, skelter with children exposed to excessive heat, This according to sources compelled some farmers mostly Tiv IDP’s to relocate to Daudo IDP’s camp in the neighboring Benue State for safety.

 

The State Governor, it would be recalled on Thursday this week flagged off the sales of fertilizer for 2021 cropping season.
