The School Dropouts Governor Yari Literally Wants In Our Students

0 60

Governor Yari doesn’t give education in Zamfara state any attention not because he is uneducated himself but because he wants the children of the downtrodden to be successful like Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Steve Jobs, Paul Allen, Larry Ellison, John D. Rockefeller and Henry Ford, whom were all school dropouts as Alhaji Ibrahim Dosara the Special Adviser to Governor Yari on “Public Enlightenment, Media and Communication” pontificates. Governor Yari is so serious in carving out these celebrated dropouts in us that he has documented their achievements in his blueprint while he recruited an expert to develop a curriculum for us. Jalaludeen Maradun would say, “Dosara, that good teacher of history of western dropouts’ achievements.”

Yari’s message of not wanting us to go to school was officially disseminated some few days ago through his media aide Dosara, when he wrote a shabby but scruffy rejoinder attacking the person of a colleague in the struggle to liberate the good people of Zamfara state from the clutches of dark forces, for simply drawing the attention of Governor Yari to some issues of great concern. Did Dosara write that rejoinder? It lacks logic. It is laced with grammatical errors. It is full of vituperations only muggers could express. Hear Dosara, the Special Adviser to Governor Yari:

  1. “If not for the fact that you a (sic) from Talata Mafara, the home town of Gov Abdulaziz Yari, one would have ignored the your (sic) egocentric write up Malam Elkabeer.”

  1. “You are an abuse to the entire Mafara community. Can your “dirt” mind reflects (sic) the physical condition of Mafara town before the advent (sic) of governor Abdulaziz Yari’s administration?”

  1. “Yes, you did not attach his family background to any form of moral indiscipline, unlike your family background which from your behaviour, has shown a clear indication that your upbringing is morally questionable.”

  1. “Abdulaziz Yari may not have the degree certificate you mentioned, but has demonstrated some qualities that helped to made (sic) him governor…”

Ibrahim Bello Zauma would say, “This is what happens when a highbrow journalist stoops so low as to lick the boot of politicians. Integrity vanishes instantly when greed takes over the spirit. This is not what we expect from a man of your caliber, Dosara. However, the dictatorial approach coated in the thug-like invective you have poured here speaks volume about the depth of the rot in the Zamfara state political arena.” Dosara is judged to be far better than the majority of Governor Yari’s appointees. You can imagine the mess! So don’t ask why the state under the leadership of these educated-illiterates is not going anywhere yet. Don’t ask why they are not interested in education anymore.

Virtually, Governor Yari should be commended for one thing: he doesn’t want Nasirudeen Abdulaziz Yari, Hadiza Abdulaziz Yari, Ahmad Abdulaziz Yari and Ameera Abduaziz Yari to miss what he missed, that he has used tax-payers money to send them to America and United Kingdom to obtain better certificates (?). I only pity my brothers and your sisters who cannot join their mates from other states in any of our local Universities since two years now because Governor Yari refuses to honour the agreement he signed with examinations bodies (WAEC & NECO); he refuses to settle the outstanding examinations fees… even in their wildest imagination, they may never obtain a certificate from Texas because their family names don’t bear “Abdulaziz Yari”. I don’t seem to relate with that theory of successful dropouts anymore. Another rejoinder from the boot-licking media aide seemingly needed to explain this in the context of that framework.

Ba kada laifi, Dosara. Yana da kyau mutum ya kare tuwo nai. But “kariyar tuwonka” should not be at the expense of our constitutional right to freedom of speech. El-kabeer Mafara is not alone in this – be prepared to write more rejoinders for every comment a member of Zamfara Circle makes about your clueless boss, for we are increasing in number every passing minute – we all are united by a common goal: to promote good governance in Zamfara state. Tell Governor Yari that those threats from his boys will never stop us from airing our views. And should anything happen to any of our members for exposing the weaknesses of his pitiless administration, we shall challenge him and his thugs before the competent court of law. We will continue to talk until the tables change for good.

To Governor Yari, your lack of educational qualifications shouldn’t discourage you from recruiting competent advisers. Your boy Dosara needs some coaching on mass communication. He needs some grammar classES to equip him to defend you. Advice your ignorant adviser to learn to attack the message and not the messenger – he has become a laughingstock if you must know – Dosara is not ripe enough for that assignment, gaskiya. We have a handful of professionals who could help with the coaching of your adviser for free. Just send him to us and we train him for three weeks, after which he won’t talk or write like ‘dan tasha again.

Your Excellency, it is important you recognize that you are in that office to serve the entire people of Zamfara state and not your family alone. Also, your comments claiming that you can rule Zamfara state from anywhere are very erroneous and show lack of regards for good governance. The business you claim to be running which you place above your public function is contrary to your oath of office. If you cannot put the mandate given to you by the good people of Zamfara state above your business whatever, then you don’t deserve to continue in that position. We need a more committed and serious leader.

Finally, Zamfara Circle wishes to once again call on the members of the Zamfara State House of Assembly to take their job seriously – it is very shameful to pass budgets that provided money meant for the payment of SSCE fees and watch Governor Yari fails implementing that for years. The hallowed chamber is not a place for warming bench but for making laws, carrying out oversight functions and providing quality representation to your constituents and we demand you do that in the best way. We challenge you to invite Governor Yari to explain what he has done with the said funds before we take the matter to the next level.

Gazali Shehu Ahmad

Chairman, Zamfara Circle
