The Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Abdullahi Adamu has expressed shock over the destruction caused by the people of Farin Ruwa at the site of Farin Ruwa Dam. He described the scenario as quite unfortunate for the system.
The two-time Governor who is the architect of the Farin Ruwa Hydro Electricity Power Project gave the hint in his speech during the handing over of the sixty percent N5.8bn earth dam Project.
Senator Adamu however, expressed satisfaction over the takeover of the project, which was planned in 2003 and later on was executed in 2004.
*Today is my happiest moment with what transpired in Farin Ruwa, is a dream comes true”.
The former Governor commended his successors for doing their bidding in ensuring that the project is feasible.
Stating further that the project if completed would be beneficial to the country and Nasarawa state as a whole.
The Oriye Rindre, Alhaji Nagogo appreciate the initiators and all those involved in the project.
He explained that the people of Wamba could be appreciative of the commitment of the State Government.
The consultant while given an overview of the project way back in 2004 explained that the Earth Dam Project was meant to generate electricity for regional water schemes and irrigation purposes.
Giving the assurance that the contract would be completed within twenty-four months, which starts counting from the day of taking over of the project.
The Honorable Commissioner of Agriculture and Water Resources, Otaki Alanana commended the Minister of Water Resources, Engineer Suleiman Husseini Adamu for chosen Farin Ruwa Hydro Electricity Power Project.
He also appreciated the state Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule for backing all agricultural and water policies in the state.
He described farming and electricity as a major catalyst for industrialization
