Talent Hunt: Bet9ja, Imo FA Officially Unveils Super League

The leadership and management of Bet9ja in Imo State in conjunction with the Imo Football Association, on Thursday Oct.24th 2019,officially unveiled the “Bet9ja Super League in Imo State, at  Rockview Hotel Owerri, with the theme: “Take them off the street”.

 

Speaking, the Super-Agent of Bet9ja  in South-East, South-South, Amb. George Smart Unegbu, aka De Senator, who is also the CEO of Smart Travels, in his words, expressed satisfaction with the height of economic boom generated and recorded by the unquenchable development of the gaming system in Imo State, courtesy of the establishment of Bet9ja in Nigeria, since it was formed.

 

According to Amb.Unegbu,” We at Bet9ja have collectively decided to support the youths of the country by assisting them to build up their careers especially in sports ( football talent hunts). We are poised to take away the youths out from the streets and transform them to be responsible in the society especially in Imo State. The official unveiling of Bet9ja Super League in Imo State is going on simultaneously in the 36 States of the Country. We are trying to build the youths. Most of them at the end of the tournament from the 3 senatorial zones of the State,would be successfully connected and linked to play international football in abroad”,Unegbu submitted.

 

Amb. Smart, further described the league is a grassroots tournament with the primary aim of transforming numerous lives in the rural area and produces the next generation superstars.

 

In his submission, the South East,South South Super-Agent of Bet9ja,Amb.Unegbu, assured the participating youths in the league to take the football talent hunt competition very serious,even as he expressed optimisms that Bet9ja as the biggest bet company in Nigeria has vowed to take football to every door step of Nigerians to enlighten the rural dwellers on the massive opportunities that would be offered mostly on the empowerment of the youths.

 

“Bet9ja is truly more than a bet”, he disclosed.

 

Those unavoidably absent at the event includes: “the Chairman of Bet9ja, Kunle Soname,Ayo Chuck Ojuroye, CEO of Bet9ja, and the Keynote Speaker, Sir. Ejikeme Ikwunze, aka Mr. Football, amongst others.

 

It occasion was also graced by the Imo State Governor, Chief Emeka Ihedioha, the Deputy Imo Governor, Engr.Gerald Irona, and the Imo State Secretary to the Government, Hon.Uche Onyeagocha, who were all represented by their representatives.

 

The format of the league is a six weeks football tournament just like the African Cup of the Nations, the participating teams will come from the local regions of Owerri.

 

There will be 74 competitive matches played in total during the tournament, comprising of 60 preliminary matches, 8 quarters final matches, 4 semifinal matches, 3rd place match and the grand finale.

 

There will be colorful opening and closing ceremony.

 

Meanwhile, the matches will be played in two different locations-the Evergreen Orji Town Primary School Field and the famous Emmanuel College.

Whereas the tournament officially would be kicked off on Sunday, Oct.27th 2019, through Friday, November 22nd 2019.
