Suspended APC Deputy Chairman In Bauchi , one other slams N50m suit on APC supporters Forum

The Suspended Deputy Chairman of the Bauchi State  All Progressives Congress (APC) , Hon Shuaibu Rahma and the former Vice Chairman Bauchi South Alhaji Adamu Musa Lar  , has   filed a N50m defamation suit against Concern APC supporters Forum Bauchi.

The first and second plaintiff claimed that they were defamed by a paid publication on a Daily Trust newspapers said to be authored and signed by Munir Musa, Mohammed Garba and Nuhu Ahmed who are defendants in the suit.

The counsel to the plaintiffs Barrister Aliyu Alhassan Sangei , said this case mentioned is against  the defendants who  make a paid advertorial on a newspaper against the plaintiffs  on matters that are not true and  that are false, so the plaintiffs  are aggrieved and took the matter to court.

“We are able to serve the first defendant while the second and third defendant were not served, if they are real person we are not able to serve them  in case of any event, we will take the appropriate step to serve them” he said

The suit, was mentioned on Wednesday by the presiding judge, Justice Abdulkadir Hussaini Sulaiman.

Suleiman had since adjourned the case to 14 July 2016 for further mentioned.

The suspended Deputy Chairman of APC Bauchi state Hon Shuaibu Rahma told newsmen in the court premises yesterday,  that the said publication sponsored is capable of damaging their reputable image and political career that is why they instituted the case against the signatories of the publication.
