Supreme Court Review Of Imo Guber: We Are Optimistic Of Victory- Attorney General

The immediate past Imo Commissioner for Justice/Attorney General in the state, Hon.Barr.Ndukwe Nnawuchi, SAN, in his Owerri legal office on last Monday, told journalists that the Imo PDP and Chief Emeka Ihedioha, will be very victorious after the Supreme Court Review, come March 9th 2020.

 

The former Commissioner for Justice Imo State, SAN Nnawuchi, who spoke, expressed optimism that the Apex Court of the country shall work to review the Imo Guber Judgement on Gov.Hope Uzodinma, because, the lawyers of Chief Ihedioha, have filed suits challenging the verdict.

 

“Though the Supreme Court verdict is final but if the judgement gave are been considered to be a nullity, as delivered without jurisdiction, one have right to approach same court to seek for review or reverse as the case may be. One have right to pray and appeal for any of the land to set it aside”,  he stated.

 

” Now that Hon.Emeka Ihedioha and the PDP with their legal team of practitioners wants the Supreme Court to Reverse/Review the judgement that declared Sen.Hope Uzodinma, of APC as Imo Governor, our expectations are very   high that verdict might be reviewed for the interest of the Imo PDP and Chief Ihedioha”, Nnawuchi submitted.

 

“Ihedioha of the PDP has gone back to the Apex Court to request for the court to set aside the verdict, we are very optimistic of victory for the return of good governance in Imo”,  Attorney General insisted.

 

On the issue of protests and counter protests in the city of Owerri, SAN Nnawuchi, described it as the right of the public to express their collective and individual as their own opinion. They have their rights to respond or react to the Supreme Court Judgement.
