Sule’s Emergence Is A Purchased Victory, Says Maku , As APGA Reject The Outcome

The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance in Nasarawa State, Labaran Maku has described the emergence of Engr.Abdullahi Alhaji Sule as a purchase victory from the Independent National Electoral Commission.

In a press conference held at the abode of the estwhile Minister of Information in Nasarawa Eggon says the declaration of the candidate of the All Progressives Congress was the prepared so-called pre-election results.

Maku said the outcome of the the election was the highest level of fraud, malpractice with the help of security agencies snatching result sheets.

He expressed disssapointment over the use of machinery of State to thump print ballot papers ,saying the heinous crime was meant to denied the people electing popular choice.

He however averred that APGA was the main Target of both government of Nasarawa State including opposition political parties in the State.

Labaran Maku unveiled that elections did not hold in Toto,Awe,Lafia instead thump printing in favor of the ruling APC to stay in power even the hardship experienced by farmers and herders as well as workers.

“Our intention as opposition in the State was to offer alternative through constructive criticism”.

He said he join the 2019 governorship race to unchain the people of Nasarawa State whom he disclosed that are leaving in captivity by few individuals.

“Our people in the country side are seriously depressed,Maku in a text presented to Journalists during the press e titled “NOT AN ELECTION”says the beauty of democracy is in the fact it allows communities to elect those who would lead them towards the attainment of their hopes, goals and aspirations ,this belief is derived from an adherence to democratic norms and values as well as to the rule of law, Justice and fair play.

Once these are taken away ,the tenets of democracy are destroyed and replaced by anarchy,terrorism and dictatorship”.

The former Minister asserted that March 9 election was characterized by the highest levels of electoral malpractice,what was supposed to be a free,fair and credible election turned out to be a quasi-military operation conceived, organized and executed by all arms of State apparatus to the advantage of the APC.

He in addition said the process was in contravention of all known International Human  Rights conventions to which Nigeria is a signatory,the election was characterized by unprecedented levels of intimidation of voters ,threat to life and physical assault.these led to many persons becoming victims of maiming and death.

Maku buttressed that the effects of these anti-democratic acts were meant to foist the electorate to select the candidate of the ruling party in the State against the will of the people.

“Election was preceded by widespread reports of illegal thump printing and stuffing of ballot boxes on private farms and residences of some government functionaries.

“In order to facilitate the smooth operation of the electoral crime against the people of Nasarawa State,the State government reportedly took the list returning officers to the headquarters of INEC in Abuja for approval and deployment to the State.
