Stop This Your Frequent Press Statement Over Plateau Killings, Take Proactive Steps To End Killings, Plateau PDP Tells Gov Lalong
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Plateau under the leadership of Hon Damishi Sango has called on the state government and the security agencies to take proactive measure to stop the sectarian crisis and prevent further attacks.
In a press statement signed by the publicity secretary, Mr. John Akan and made available to our medium, the PDP cautioned against the rising sporadic attacks as it said that it is the responsibility of government to adopt a more proactive stance to prevent these senseless killings.
The statement noted with dismay the continued killings in some parts of Bassa Local Government despite the imposition of the dusk to dawn curfew in the area.
This is a disdainful challenge to the authority of the government in Plateau and a sinister act of aggression against the collective humanity of Plateau people.
The government should show more concern for the safety of its citizens practically rather than this belated commitment to official press statements.
According to the PDP, it shows that the government that is helpless as it always pants behind marauders who have become an authority by themselves since they can neither be confronted, deterred nor be investigated or apprehended.
The party sympathizes with the people of Miango community in particular and Bassa local government in general over this dastardly act of inhumanity. We condemn this act of wickedness in its totality.
And we encourage the people of Plateau State to maintain absolute vigilance in their various communities.
