The Operation Safe Haven deployed to restore law and order in Plateau , Bauchi and Southern Kaduna has sent words of warning to persons planning to protest in Plateau State as a result of reprisals to cause confusion and disharmony in the state .
The Security outfit in a statement signed by its Media Head, Maj. Ishaku Takwa in response to the message condemned plans by mischief makers to create an atmosphere of rancour .
According to the statement, a group of Muslim youths under intelligence gathering are planning to carry out a peaceful protest said considering the fragile nature of peace in the State, it would not tolerate the planned protest.
The peaceful protest was restricted by the message which has gone viral in the social media space is slated for Wednesday 18th August 2021 from the Friday Mosque Jos to the Plateau State House of Assembly Complex.
Operation Safe Haven said it will deal decisively with anyone trying to tamper with the fragile peace in the State.
“OPSH will not allow anybody or group to breach the fragile peace in Jos metropolis. Consequently, anybody found acting contrary to the law will be dealt with” the statement said
