STERLING BANK’S ATTACK ON  RESURRECTION OF JESUS: Group Ask Christians To Close Their Accounts

The Congress of Northern Nigeria Christians ( CNNC) has asked all Christians and Churches to close all their accounts with Sterling bank for blasphemy the name of Jesus Christ.

The National Youth Leader of CNNC Engr. Daniel David Kadzia, told journalists on Wednesday that for the bank to make sure a provoking statement that can cause chaos in the country means the bank is not only anti-Christians, but an alleged agent who may be allegedly sponsoring terrorism in the country.

Kadzai, the former National president Youth Wing of the Christians Association of Nigeria ( YOWICAN) urged federal government to carry out full investigations into the activities of the bank and why it made sure a statement that is capable to cause bloody crisis in Nigeria.

“We  Christians are suspicious of the activities of Sterling bank, we are suspecting it is one of the banks terrorist groups may be using to cause havoc in the country. We are demanding for full scale investigations by authorities and the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) should withdraw operational licence of Sterling bank for their desperate move to further fuel religious tension in the country.

“It is very clear that the statement of Sterling bank comparing the resurrection of Jesus Christ to Agege bread is not only an responsible action, but the statement design to cause further blood flow just to sabotage efforts put in place by President Muhammadu Buhari’s government ,” he stated

.

The National Youth Leader who call on the federal government to take disciplinary measures against Sterling bank, pointing out that Christians consider Sterling bank advert blasphemous hence frown at the silence of the federal government on sensitive matter.

He added, “we want federal government to stiff measures against Sterling bank statement proportionate to the harmless statement of Bishop  Mathew Hassan Kukah.

The group after the emergency meeting give Sterling bank 14 days ultimatum to publish full page apology in at least ten national dalies or will face the full wrath of the churches in Nigeria.

Kadzai said that Christians in Nigeria will no longer tolerate actions by individuals or organizations that form the unholy habit of attacking religious institutions.

He stated that henceforth, Christians in Nigeria should consider Sterling bank as anti-Christ and suspend doing any business with the bank ,he described as one of the forces of darkness aimed at dividing the country.
