Staff Of College Of Health, Keffi Accuses Acting Provost Of Running College As Personal Property

The staff of the College of Health, Science, and Technology, Keffi has accused the Acting Provost, Suleiman Ibrahim of running the institution as his personal property.
Feelers revealed that the Acting Provost will decide who does what, saying he did not call for a management meeting before taking a decision concerning the College.
Insider averred that Suleiman, is the Acting Provost and posing as the Chairman Governing Council, Is the Bursar, and acting as the Commissioner of Health
The Acting Provost, Mal. Suleiman Ibrahim explained to Journalists that he was not in the school due to health challenges.
The Acting Provost was accused of high headedness in demoting staff at will, impeccable sources said he appointed junior staff against senior breaching civil service protocol.
He was accused of demoting a Vice Principal Administration and appointing his junior as Deputy Provost as well as bringing an outsider as the Bursar of the institution.
COHST, Keffi according to insiders is being run single-handed by the Provost due to the absence of the Governing Council.
League of staff is appealing to Engineer Abdullahi Sule as matter of urgency to appoint experts to put rights the wrongs committed by the Acting Provost.
Another complaint raised by insiders who pleaded anonymity said the Acting Provost is a globe trotter, the saying is always absent in the College without a given directive to the officer to act.
It was revealed that one of the departments in the health institution has only two permanent staff while the remaining staff is either engaged staff or casual staff.
Is no longer news that the College of Health, Science and Technology, Keffi is grappling with insufficient teaching staff, according to investigation bring about the dwindling number of students in key Departments.
It was also learned that the management collected a chunk amount of money from final year students of Environmental but did not remit the money to the concerned authority.
With the second wave of coronavirus pandemic and the Presidential directive to resume academic activities in both private and public schools in the country on January,18th,2021 the COHST, Keffi resume it academic activities breaching the COVID-19 protocol.
Selected Journalists that visited the health institution can authoritatively reveal that COHST has no single water container, no sanitizer or soap was found at either the premîses or infrared were available to measure body temperature as on the 4th of January,2021.
At about 11:50 am students of Environmental and Health ND 1 and 2 are in their respective classes without due adherence to COVID-19 Social Distancing, no single students were seen wearing a face mask including a female lecturer.
The Acting Provost in a telephone conversation stated that the College has enough sanitizer, soap, and water, Adding that there was enough sanitizer, soap, apportioning blame to the Deputy Provost.
He denied collecting money for final students and failed to remit the money to the authority concerned, saying “Journalists please get your fact intact and forward it to me”.
He also denied appointing junior staff as Deputy Provost and Bursar as well as demoting the vice-principal administration.
On the Insufficient teaching staff, The Acting Provost said the Ministry of Health is aware of the whole issues and when asked whether there is any communication between the College and Ministry, Suleiman maintained that he has copies of series of communications over the inadequate teaching staff.
