At the meeting the state chairman of the party, Chief Joel Madaki reiterated that, since the formation of the party in 1998 until 2015 the party has been managing political success.
According to him there is a task before them,” and the task is how the party should learn how to manage political failure for the coming years”.
Also at the meeting the chairman emphasized on how to see that the party, PDP, is re-energize for future election as many people thought the party is no more after losing election.
He also stressed that though the party is not ruling now but is coming out strong to reclaim her lost mandate because” PDP is Nigeria and Nigeria is PDP”.
Madaki blamed party officials from the National level down to the local level for causing all the failures recorded in the previous elections.
“I can’t shift blame to any of the opposition party but my blame goes to all PDP official from the National level up to the local level, I even spelled doom to ourselves, we are the reason of our failure” He added
While thanking the likes of Bamanga Tukur, Professor Jibril Aminu who were unavoidable absent for standing firm to sustain the party and always encouraging faithful members to remain faithful.
The meeting ended with the setting up of a committee to be chaired by Ambassador Wilberforce Joda and Dr Umar Ardo, the terms of reference of the committee is to look into the problems of the party in the state which led many party members to leave the party and proffer solutions on how the party will reclaim her former glory.
