No fewer than four corpses of the Alakyo massacre are still laying in the morgue of Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital Lafia, The Chief Medical Director, Dr.Ahmed Yakubu Ashuku has said.
He said the corpses were brought to the hospital by Nasarawa State Emergency Management Agency, Fire service amongst others but majority of the corpses has so far been claimed by family members.
It could be recalled that Ombotse, an Eggon militia group on 7/5/2013 confiscated over twelve hilux vans while scores were maimed in joint operation to apprehend the chief priest of Ombotse, Baba Agu AKA Baba Alakyo.
The Police Public Relation Officer, Ismaila Numan when contacted on phone declined to comment on the four unclaimed corpses brought along other corpses on the 8/5/2013. I don’t think they are corpses of policemen.
