Senate President Aide Urges Politicians To Eschew Politics Of Bitterness And Rancour In Plateau State

The Director General for Senator Diket Plang 2023 general election and the Former Member of Mangu South in the State House of Assembly Hon. Benshak Dalop has urged politicians to eschew politics of bitterness and rancour and foster unity of oneness instead of propagating unnecessary conflict to disrupt our heard end peaceful coexistence in Plateau and Nigeria.
Dalop who’s the Senior Special Adviser to the Senate President, Sen. Godswill Akpabio spoke to our correspondent at the State High Court premises in Jos , calling on the family of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on the Plateau to rethink and drop their ego and put the party together in line with the 2022 electoral Act to avoid further judicial disgrace.
He pointed out that as the party may be contemplating heading to f Appeal the matter, the petitioners should consider the little money still left with them not just go and test their power as the case had already been determined by the appeal court as it has been done at the tribunal.
Hon.Benshak who has just been appointed the Senior legislative Aid to the Senate president of Nigeria Senator Akpabio gave the advice at the premises of Plateau State High Court venue of the Election Petition Tribunal sitting shortly after the tribunal Affirmation of the election of Hon.Diket Plang for Plateau Central Senatorial district on 31st October 2023.
Benshak said this Judgement that affirmed the election of Honorable Diket Plang didn’t come them as a surprise, before now, we knew what was going to happen because, we struggled hard, worked tirelessly, and won the election.
Further, the issue of no structure Sponsorship and nomination in the Judgement is an added advantage to our case.
He said the judgment is a call to other parties and the Peoples Democratic Party PDP in particular that is time to listen to the voice of reason, sit down listen hinge to the advice of credible People devoid of ego, and go back to the drawing board and conduct legally acceptable Congress of the party to avoid more calamity against the party.
Stressed that Plateau is known among the states in the federation that being conversant with the law, Commended his principal Senator Diket Plang for his victory at the tribunal, we have never been in any doubt, that this is what we have been waiting for, today the court has confirmed it that Honorable Diket Plang is the winner of plateau Central Senatorial District 2023 election.
However, advised the loser to be magnanimous in defeat and called on the winner to extend the olive branch to his counterpart at the tribunal because no Victor no vanquished. He maintained.
