Former Plateau State Governor, Senator Dr. Joshua Chibi Dariye, has expressed deep sadness over the passing of Hon. Chief Dennis Lamu, Galadiman Mwaghavul and former Chairman of Mangu Local Government Council.
In a condolence message, Senator Dariye described the demise of Chief Lamu as a great loss not only to his Mwaghavul Nation, but to the state and the entire country at large.
The former Governor recalled with pride the exemplary leadership of the deceased which was embedded in discipline, integrity, humility and selfless service to humanity.
“He was one of the most experienced Local Government administrators of our time whose impact will continue to be a reference point. His patriotism, dedication and unwavering commitment to his ideals were rare attributes worthy of emulation”.
Senator Dariye described late Chief Dennis Lamu as an astute administrator, technocrat, a consummate politician and a community leader whose acts of kindness uplifted the standard of living of the people.
He commiserated with his family, the Mishkaham Mwaghavul, Da John Putmang Hirse MNI, and the entire Mwaghavul Nation on the demise of one of its illustrious sons and urged them to accept his death as the will of God.
On behalf of his family, friends and political associates, Senator Dariye prayed for the repose of his soul, fortitude and courage to the entire family to bear the great loss.
