A very prominent, vibrant and stong sociopolitical group in the South Eastern States ably known “South East Equity Movement,SEEM,recently in Owerri, have collectively resolved to solidly endorse and support Hon.Barr.Emeka Nwajuba for his Speakership aspiration at the National Assembly (Federal House of Representative).
The group in a meeting headed by the Imo State Coordinator of SEEM,Comr.Chuks Okoroiwu, described Barr.Nwajuba as the most qualified candidate for that position judging by his records of achievements when he was a member of the Federal House Of Representative between 1999 and 2003.
The group therefore called on well meaning citizens of Eastern Nigeria to buy into this project.
Speaking during the meeting, the State Coordinator,Comr.Okoroiwu, who is the convener,in his words outlined the strategies to be used to actualize this project which will soon be made open to the press.
Comr.Okoroiwu, further called and appealed to Nigerians especially the South-East lawmakers to jointly support the speakership aspiration of Barr.Nwajuba, whom he described as a professional with several legal experience to move Nigeria forward.
Meanwhile,on last Sunday,June 2nd 2019,the leadership of SEEM Imo State Chapter paid a courtesy visit to the Parish Priest of Christ Anglican Church Umuonyeukwu Autonomous Community in Ikeduru LGA of Imo State,Rev.Dr.Emmanuel Egbule, who was a former protocol officer (former aide) to Hon.Nwajuba, and also close relative the Federal lawmaker, expressively commended the group for endorsing his brother,Barr.Nwajuba for his Speakership bid at the Federal House of Representatives.
He however advised SEEM to remain focused, committed and proactive as a political pressure group to ensure they only project politicians with integrity especially those that have the interest of the masses at heart.
Rev.Egbule, therefore encouraged the group to remember the political leadership and general interest of the South East in particular.
Some of the prominent media merchants who were in attendance as members of SEEM at the visit to the Anglican Clergyman includes:Hon.Deacon Daniel Opara,of the Nigerian Moment Newspaper Owerri,Comr.Ifeanyi Ndukwe,of Newsbreak Newspaper,Comr.Iheakanwa Ifeanyi,of the BigTruth Newspaper and Comr.Destiny Isinwa,of the Nigerian Horn Newspaper, amongst some other well meaning Imo sons and daughters too numerous to mention a few.
