The Executive Chairman of Langtang North Local Government Council, Hon. Ubandoma Joshua Laven has received newly recruited police constables posted to the local government.
The Police officers where in the office to pay a courtesy call to the chairman of the council as the Chief Security Officer of the Local Government.
” I am happy your first posting is to your local government to serve your people. This policy has become possible because of the efforts of people like Hon Beni Lar and other house committee members on police who insisted that for more effective policing, recruits should be posted back to their local governments to serve, you cant pick somebody from Zamfara post him to Langtang and expect him to function effectively.
I want to task you to discharge your duties with all diligence and sincerity, some of your assignments will pitch you against people you used to know or even grew with, but you must never be intimidated or compromise on your responsibilities.
As a council, we are committed to ensuring peace and security is maintained in langtang North local Government Area” he said.
