SDP Presidential Candidate, Adebayo Promises To End Insecurity, Revenue leakages In Nigeria

The presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Adewole Adebayo has disclosed his commitment and desire to deliver Nigeria from the bad leadership ,corruption that had bedeviled all the sectors of the economy, even as he commended the leadership of National Institutes for Policy and strategic studies ,NIPSS ,Kuru .

SDP presidential candidate was speaking during the interactive session with him, with the theme: “Critical Transitions from Apologetics of Nationhood to Elite Consensus around Fundamental Objectives and Directive Principles of State Policy”,at the NIPSS New Auditorium (Studies Directorate)in Jos .

He promised to reduce poverty in Nigeria which is the inline with the social Democratic tradition across the world , adding that because in 1993 presidential election there was two political parties ,the NRC & SDP which manifesto spelled on how to create jobs and employment opportunity for the teaming unemployed youth in Nigeria .

According to him ,the party has governorship candidates across the 36 states of the country ,109 senatorial seats, ,360 reps and states Assembly whom are to contest the forthcoming general elections .

Barr .Adebayo stated that he has been inspired by Chapter 2 of the 1999 Constitution which states that sovereignty belongs to the people by calling on Nigerian electorate to wisely vote for competence devoid of any sentiment attachef and SDP would provide that needed leadership to salvage the country .

The Social Democratic Party (SDP) presidential candidate, Adewole Adebayo, has promised to reduce the rate of poverty in Nigeria and provide more opportunities for the youth when elected and secure the country border through a concrete security synergy .

He added that the essence of occupying the stool of leadership is for federal government to give priority to safeguard the country starting from LG to state level .

According to Adebayo ,the Presidential Campaign Organisation in Abuja, he said that the SDP was inspired by Chapter 2 of the 1999 Constitution which states that sovereignty belongs to the people ,we are going to address the problems of insecurity and leakages of revenue in one and provide millions of jobs to engage the youths in meaningful programs of development .

He said that the leadership was therefore set up by the people and its job is to look out for the welfare of the people where he condemned that the problems of insecurity as a result injustice and lopsided employment in the security .

Barr. Adebayo emphasized that the major challenges facing the country has to do with poverty all over the places in spite of its abundant blessings of material and human resources.

He lamented that in certain parts of the country, some people have no food to eat to the extent of picking the leftover in the dustbins to feed their children.

“If you go around some areas at night, you’ll see some people sleeping everywhere on the streets, no shelter and this administration shall address the issue headlong if voted into power on the 25th February .

“If you go to the hospitals, patients are all over on the floor, no bed, only one doctor with thousands of patients.

” SDP woos the electorate with campaign on real issue touching humanitarian need by appealing ,that our citizens do not deserve this. Nigeria is a blessed country. We have resources, we have professionals, If we can put our house together, all of these things we are seeing, we’ll not be seeing them,” he added”.

Barr. Adebayo said that the previous administration had failed to improve the welfare of ordinary citizens, adding that the SDP is in the race to make things better for Nigerians.

“We are here to assure you of all the plans that we have set out, even when we get there we’re going to achieve them. We know it’s going to be difficult but we will achieve them by the grace of God.”

Adebayo gave the assurance that Nigerian youth would have a lot to benefit from the party because they believe the youth are the ones making great achievements for Nigeria.

In his remarks, Director General NIPSS ,Prof.Ayo Adedeji commended the Barr.Adebayo for demonstrating leadership by example and displaying manifesto that touch the well-being of citizens .

He appealed to other candidates to take advantage of the peaceful and conducive atmosphere of the institute to sell their manifesto to Nigerians.

According to him ,plateau state remain a safe heaven nothing like attack, the environment is safe for all the categories of campaign activities .

“I must say that I am touched by your plan and your vision, so I pray that God will help you to accomplish your race.”

The royal father prayed for the SDP presidential candidate and his campaign team.

The campaign team comprised the National Secretary of SDP, Olu Agunloye; National Vice chairman South West, Silas Alani; Director of Protocol, Godwin Osigbeme; Director of Finance, Ugochukwu Uba; and Femi Olufumilade.
