“SARASUKA” Group Members Terrorizing Jos North LGA Arraigned In Court For Killing Of Residents

Justice Arum Ashom of  Plateau State High NO5 , Jos Division has adjourned hearing in a suit between the Commissioner of  Nigeria Police versus a syndicate of Jos North Local Government Area terrorist group known as  Sarasuka terrorizing residents with dangerous weapons.

 

The matter which resumed hearing was adjourned to 4th December 2020 the prosecution counsel, Barr J.D Longden told the court that the case came up for hearing after the last adjourned date.

 

He explained that the security personnel one of the suspects by name Usman Adams who was support to be standing trial alone other suspects.

 

According to him, investigation in the circumstance led to the arrest of one suspect was he filed a motion on notice dated 14th September 2020 seeking the leaf of the court to join Usman Adams and to further amend the fresh charges.

 

He stated, we have served counsel to the defendants subject to the convenience of the court.

 

Meanwhile, the defendant’s counsel, A.U.Udoko says, they’ve been served with the amended charge a few minutes ago join together with the leave to arraigned even though the matter is slated for hearing on the accused count charges.

 

However, the clerk of the court reads all the four-count charges before the six accused persons on criminal conspiracy, culpable of homicide, and mischief under section 59 subsection (2) of Plateau state penal code law dated and filed on the  27th August 2020.

 

However, those arraigned include, Hamman Bala, Abraham Bukar, Abdulrahman Abubakar, Muazu Hassan, Sadiq Rilwanu, Rabiu Yunusa, Usman Adams, and Anas Ali under four count charges of attempted culpable homicide using cutlasses armed themselves with dangerous weapons intimidating attacking residents of Congo Mararaba filing ball.

 

The third charge was that section 313 of Plateau penal code law of mischief attacking and damaging a vehicle of the vigilante group of Nasarawa community Sharon of neighborhood watch, he explained.

 

The Fourth charge was inciting violence disturbances and disrupting the peace attacking community of Congo residents but all the accused persons pleaded not guilty for their offense.

 

In an interview with the plateau state commander of Neighborhood Watch of Nigeria security,  Alh Ismaila Shaibu, and one of the Commander Aminu Musa in separate they have got this to say,  these militia group which had been terrorizing the Congo Russia and Nasarawa axis for quite a while now, came out to attached the residence of the community with cutlasses and other dangerous weapons, and in some cases killed at will.

 

Alh. Shaibu said recently these groups of militia Sarasuka they attacked my men wounded some and destroyed our patrol vehicle “Sharon” bus.

 

Surprisingly , some of these boys are artisans with one handling work or the other not that they are jobless that made them engage in the Acts.

 

 

The commander of the security outfit Shaibu, further lamented that those boys who have metamorphosed themselves into a terrorist group, terrorizing the community are our children, and add that since they are not ready to be useful to themselves but choose the wrong way, let the law take it course.

 

He however advised people to ensure they monitor their children /wards to forestall the situation where we turned a pest in the lives of others.

 

The four-count charge against the six accuse militia group a.k.a “Sarasuka” include, Criminal conspiracy and culpable homicide, attempted culpable homicide mischief,  by attacking the “Sharon” bus belonging to Neighborhood Watch of Nigeria Plateau state chapter and inciting public disturbances causing a breach of the peace at the aforementioned community.
