Sankey’s Death, A Rude Shock To Judiciary Family -Justice Monica

The President, of the Court of Appeal, Hon Justice Monica Bolna’an has expressed shock over the death of the former National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies Director, NIPSS, Director General, Dr John Sankey death at the cool hands of assassins on Monday, describing it as “rude shock for the judiciary family in Nigeria .”

Justice Monica Bolnaan disclosed this during a visit to the deceased family at the customs Senior officers’ mess in Jos South Local Government Area on Wednesday.

 She expressed the condolences of the judiciary family to the bereaved family.

According to Justice Monica, “We were amazed by the news of the death of the successful statesman whose wife is a strong member of jurists who met his Waterloo in the hand of assassins on Monday.

John Sankey’s sudden death is painful and shocking, I don’t know how to express myself in a time like this, I don’t have enough time but we all came here to comfort the family and pray God almighty would continue to give the necessary comfort.

“she said, death is an end that affects almost all humans so we all believe that he has gone to be in the bosom of our Lord because he created all in his image, as she pleaded with the family to receive inspiration from God.

“We, however, wish to express our condolence to his family members, including his wife children, and relatives.

“We also wish to condole with the entire members of the judiciary both Plateau State and entire Nigeria.

“The death of Dr. John Sankey has definitely created a vacuum that would be difficult to fill, but we are consoled by the fact that he left a good legacy as a committed of high-profile citizens.

“Our prayer is that God will give both his family members and members of the judiciary the fortitude to bear this great loss.

“The death of Dr. John Sanke at this time, when our nation is passing through its worst moment, is regrettable, and he will surely be missed by all of us.

“We are now left with the memories of Dr. John Sankey, whose contributions to the development of the country are immeasurable.

“Those of us in the judiciary will particularly miss him and we pray that God will grant him eternal rest.”

Responding on behalf of the families Dr  Babangida Yakubu Sankey commended the judiciary family for coming to commiserate with them.
