Sallah Message: Governor Sule Urges Media To Preach Peace

The Media has been urged to preach peace in the cause of their reportage, The executive Governor of Nasarawa State, Engr. Abdullahi Alhaji. Sule stated this.

 

He gave the charged when Members of the Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists paid him a sallah homage at his country home of Gudi.

 

The Governor who described the press as an agenda setters to unite the State instead of portraying it in a negative way that may plunged the State into chaos.

 

Engr. Sule commended his predecessors for laying behind a solid foundation of the State, saying almost all his predecessors has brought a lot of development to the State.

 

He assured the good people of Nasarawa State that the mainstay of his administration is to complete all projects conceived by the past leaders

 

“As a responsible Government the completion of all projects executed by past leaders would be given priority”.

 

Adding that his administration would not entertain wastage of Government funds by embarking on unproductive projects.

 

He called on Muslims world over to applied the lessions of Ramadan in their daily lives by exhibiting the good virtues of a true muslim during and after fasting.

 

“A good Muslim should exhibit good virtues,good relationship with families and the nation”.

 

Engr.Sule thanked the people of Nasarawa State for cooperating with Government directive on restriction of movement.

 

Saying the restriction was part of effort meant to curtailed the spread of COVID-19 pandemic in the State,he explained that the decision was not meant to aggravate hardship amongst the people.

 

The Governor also appreciate Joint security operatives in the State for curbing armed robbery, banditry and among other criminality in the State.

 

Engr.Sule urged the people of Nasarawa State to support the present Federal Government under President Muhammadu Buhari.

 

The delegation was led by the Chairman of the Chapel,Comrade Isaac Okpoju.
