The Nasarawa State scribe of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Mr Yarus Dagusa has described the party as an Omnibus that can contain all and sundry in Nasarawa State.
The State party scribe stated shortly at the end of the Central Working Committee meeting held at the State Secretariat of the party along Shendam Road, Lafia.
The State party Secretary expressed dissatisfaction with how party supporters were engaged on social media uproar, saying the present happening is a total derailment from the obtainable.
According to him, “The ruling party has expressed dismay over the unwarranted mudslinging statements coming from within and outside the party Emanated from misguided persons”.
The scribe of the party, Yarus Dagusa described the unfolding as a bad omen to the party in the State, adding that the recent happening was meant to ridicule the party before the general public.
He averred that the internal rift is uncanny, unhealthy, and needless commentaries that washed the social media space can further divide the party.
Dagusa told the State Working Committee of the party that the unity and progress of the party cannot be negotiated by personal interest or convergence of group advancement.
“This press conference has been called to situate things irrespective of internal rumpus because all the issues raised by these commentaries are based on falsehood, mischief, and malice.
“Is imperative to State that the intent and purpose of the par leadership of His Excellency, Engineer Abdullahi Sule, and stakeholders net was abinitio, to enrich the party’s feedback.
The stakeholders meeting was meant to help the pulse of its members and most importantly assuage the feel aggrieved members with genuine concerns.
The party structure passes a vote of confidence to the State Chairman of the party, Aliyu Bello for turning around the fortune of the party.
However members unanimously during a marathon meeting decided that the Chairman should continue in office.
The State party Secretary during the briefing said the decision was in the best interest of the party.
