RT Hon Idris Wase , Dalung Commiserate With  Family Of Late  Alhassan Shuiabu

The Deputy Speaker of the House of representatives, Rt. Hon. Ahmed Idris  Wase and the Former Minister of Sports and Youth Development, Hon, Barr.  Solomon Selcap Dalung have  expressed and sadness over the death  of the Secretary of Plateau state chapter of Jama’atul Nasrul Islam (JNI), Alhaji Alhassan Shuiabu, who died on Sunday, January 12, after a protracted illness .

 

In a their separate condolence messages issued on Monday,  the Deputy Speaker described late Shuaibu as a great civil servant and Islamic leader who impacted on the lives of many Nigerians and left a legacy of honour, sacrifice.

 

The former Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Barrister Solomon Dalung has mourned the death of Alhaji Alhassan Shauibu who passed on the 12th January, 2020 and has been buried according to Muslims rite. Barrister Dalung described Alhaji Shauibu death as ‘Iroko Tree has Fallen’. Until his death, Alhaji Shauibu was the Secretary JNI Plateau State.

 

“Yesterday was another dark day for me in the new year. The news of the  demise of Alhaji Alhassan Shauibu came to me with great shock not because I am unmindful of death as social phenomenon but that another iroko TREE has fallen. Take it or leave baba Alhassan was an impeccable personality  whose exit leaves a serious vaccum.” Dalung mourned.

 

In a condolence message, the ex-Minister described the deceased as generous and a devoted Muslim. ” I have lost a father who was my idol, loving, caring, frank and blunt,  kind, generous and pillar of hope”. He was a devoted Muslim who was extremely accommodating, but highly misunderstood by many from a distance”.

 

“The reservoir of knowledge and our common heritage been depleted with the bowing out of one of our first generation bureaucrat. Baba Alhassan paid his dues to this nation Nigeria especially his unrivalled commitments to the unity of the North”.

 

As mortals, we are all subject of death either now or latter. I celebrate his life as exemplary but painfully mourn him because of the irreparable loss humanity had suffered”.

 

Nonetheless, we shall continue to imulate your remarkable legacies, which is the only honour we owed you. We sincerely thank God for your life and wish you did not leave us now.

 

Since we have accepted our fate that indeed you have gone, I will only say the curtain has been drawn, inna lillahi wainai lillahi rajuuna.

 

Good night Baba and good morning when we shall all meet again at the great assembly where everybody shall give account of his deeds here on earth.

 

May God forgive your  shortcomings and reward your good deeds with aljanatu fidausi amen.,” Dalung prayed

 

According to him, “Late Alhassan Shuiabu was indeed a great scholar,  civil servant per excellence  and inspiring leader who  impacted on the lives of many through his peace building initiatives generosity and support to the members of the society”.

 

“We have indeed lost a man of peace,  a respected leader,  father who spent greater part of his life in the service of God and humanity as the secretary of  Jama’atul Nasrul Islam (JNI).

 

“We are, however, consoled by the fact he left a good legacy that will continue to be a source of inspiration to the family he left behind as well as to the Muslim Umma.”

 

While extending his condolences to the family of the deceased, the government and people of Plateau State, the Deputy Speaker payed to Almighty Allah to grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
