Revealed: The Full List And Names of 20 Judicial Staffs Sacked By Nasarawa Judicial Service Commission Including A Sick Staff

Information available to universalreportersng.com revealed that an ailing female staff of High Court 1, Naomi Zekpo who is an executive of Judicial Staff Union of Nigeria was among the twenty staff that was declared dismissed by the scribe of the Judicial Service Commission.

 

The Secretary of JSC confirmed that the Commission released a letter on the 19/11/2018 as well as issued a query letter to the executives of JUSUN and others that participated in the protest that disrupted a court plenary in High Court 1.

 

The Executive Secretary, Hafsat Turaki Sanda declined further comment on the matter, as she refused to give out the two letters released to other media outlets.

 

The Secretary as at press time promised to call back by consulting the powers that be, for clearance, but at this moment it is just all to no avail.

 

Despite the threat by the office of the Chief Judge, Suleiman Umar Dikko to called off the ongoing strike didn’t stop them, as he the CJ declared JUSUN executives and others sacked by who is the Chairman of JSC.

 

It could be recalled that Judicial Staff stormed into the High Court 1 while the court was on a session is ongoing with leaves, this however created tension in the court premises as CJ Dikko escaped by the whisker.

 

Members of JUSUN in the state were protesting over the scraping of the Customary Court, as well as an Illegal deduction by the Chief Judge.

 

The Chairman, Jimoh Musa said that their members have been denied a lot of benefits for quite a long time under this reign.

 

JUSUN Chairman said the commencement of an indefinite strike and protest until their demands are met will continue.

 

Musa averred that the National Judicial Council had given three slots to Nasarawa state for the appointment of three Judges into the court to enable the court form quorum for sitting.

He added that nothing was done to reopen customary court.

 

The Public Relation Officer of JUSUN, Solomon Iyigulu in a telephone interview affirmed that the Union is not aware of any dismissal of its executives and other members.

 

Describing the situation as a mere threat, he added that strike just commenced in the state.

 

When universalrepoertersng.com visited most of the courts the gates remained closed two days after the declaration of the ultimatum for Judicial workers to resume or should consider themselves dismissed.

 

Even at the High Court, the office of the Chief Judge, Suleiman Umar Dikko, the court remains lifeless as few workers were seen around a kiosk while the car park of key officers was empty.

 

It was reliably gathered that the Chief Judge traveled out of the country when universalreportersng.com visited the High Court on Monday.
