Revealed: Plot To Declare 100 Tarok Villages For Ranching In Wase LGA Of Plateau Ongoing – Ponzhi Lot Raises Alarm

There is tension mounting in some villages of Wase Local Government Area of Plateau State as no fewer than 100 settlements belonging to the indigenous Tarok speaking natives have been secretly declared for ranching and converted by the Lalong led Government to be used for ranching purpose.

 

As learnt by this medium, communities in Wase woke up on Monday Morning at about 8:45 am to witness the presence and influx of herders into Kadarko district in the company of security personnel who were heavily armed as if the war was declared between Nigeria and another country.

 

Kadarko the District Headquarters of the Tarok natives was earmarked by the team who came to do the land survey and commenced demarcation to restrict them from moving forward.

 

Our reporter gathered that there is tension in Wase Local Government Area villages as villagers can’t go to the farm for fear of an alleged fresh attack.

 

Universalreporterng.com learnt that is being alleged that Governor Lalong and the Federal government are in connivance to conspire with the Emir of Wase to declare over 100 Tarok villages as cattle Ranch and grazing reserves.

 

The Villages include, Nwurmat, Tonga, Taknalam, Pede, Langtong, Takchang. Magarya,Jawondo, Magarya, Dam shanya, Dam Labare, Dam kurmi, Karamin Dam, Dam gigiya, Baking kaya Suku, Nzam Igesar, Mala Yargam, Guiwan kogi Pinau, Taktim, Takjul, Nbamtak, Bwarat,  Kurmi just to mention a few now.

 

The Ponzhi Kadarko, His Royal Highness Ponzhi Lot Nden has confirmed that there is an ongoing mapping of 100 villages under his district.

 

He spoke to this medium in a telephone interview on Saturday calling on the attention of international organizations, Federal Government that the plot to uproot kinsmen is threatening the peace of his subjects.

 

Lot called for an overhaul of the security apparatus before damage is done to his people of Wase villages.

 

HRH, Ponzhi employed all the Christian livings in Wase to be vigilant and opened their eyes in case of anything.

 

Meanwhile, when contacted by the Commissioner for Information and Communication, Mr. Yakubu Dati debunked the information saying; “it is not true.”

 

However, it was revealed that since crises broke in Wase LGA in 1998 there has been an alleged secret plan on the ground to grab all farmlands belonging to the Tarok speaking natives and convert them for animals grazing reserves and ranch which never existed.
