Governor Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir of Bauchi State on Wednesday said that his administration will Steer the state’s heights unprecedented, etching a legacy of prosperity, harmony, and development for generations to come in the State.
The governor said this during the flagging off of the 3-day retreat with the theme: My Bauchi Project, Successes and Lessons of the First Term and the Way Forward held at the Sultan Sa’ad Abubakar Pilgrim Camp located at the Abubakar Tafawa-Balewa International Airport in Bauchi.
The participants in the retreat were honorable commissioners, special advisers, permanent secretaries, and the 20 local government chairmen.
“You can regard the foregoing as an environmental scan, to chart our second-term pathway, towards arriving at the envisioned destination of ushering in sustainable peace, progress, and prosperity in Bauchi State.
“With our resource endowment level in Bauchi State, we can do the same. The required link is a motivated community driven by a mindset that is orchestrated by a leadership that has no place outside the first position, you are the leadership, I am just the driver conveying the vehicle in which we are traveling”
The governor called on the commissioners, permanent secretaries, agency heads, party officials, traditional and religious leaders, and representatives of civil society organizations, to embrace the golden opportunity to carve out a roadmap that leverages the strengths while addressing people’s weaknesses.
“Let us cultivate a culture of inclusivity, transparency, and mutual respect as we embark on this transformative journey.
As we commit ourselves to diligent service, I am hopeful that with Allah’s guidance and our unified efforts, we will steer Bauchi State to heights unprecedented, etching a legacy of prosperity, harmony, and development for generations to come” he added.
The governor expressed his profound gratitude to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and every individual who has supported his administration from his first and second term in office.
“To our royal fathers, spiritual leaders, civil society organizations, and the diligent team that has stood resolute in their commitment to serve. “As we forge ahead, let us remember that our great state of Bauchi has the potential to rise above all odds.
