Residents Rejoice As 40 Years Old Primary School Receives Govt Attention In Bauchi

Residents of Mbal Community in Bogoro local government area of Bauchi have expressed delight over the commencement of construction works on the ancient 40 years old primary school.

 

Our Correspondent gathered that this is the first time, the ancient primary school is receiving Government since its construction forty years ago by Community members.

 

They are happy that the primary school which is now receiving attention from the Federal Government under the supervision of the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) will further boost school enrollment in the area.

 

Engr.Y D Ajemasu who is the former Executive Director of River Basin Yola Adamawa State is the source of the project showed appreciation to the Federal Government for a wonderful job done to his hometown.

 

Universal Reporters reports that the commission recently commenced building a block of three classes in the community, equipped with 100 chairs and laboratory equipment.

 

A block of the dilapidated classroom was said to have been built some years back by the people of the community as part of their contribution to the development of education of their children in the area.

 

The school has since its inception, graduated and produced prominent people among which are Late lieutenant Markus Bulus (Gowon), Ishaya Gashon Muntsira, Daniel Ayuba who is the Sarkin Yaran Mbal, Aboki Simon, Gagara Ezikiel, Jummai Emmanuel, Rabo Haruna, ASP Zaccheaus Maidawa, Mrs. Morum Bitrus Makama.

 

Others are Barr Jerry Magani, Barr Ambima Ayuba Kushi, Rev Mark Gashon Muntsira, Mrs Esther Ajiya, Mrs Esther Magani late pastor Zakka Babba, ASP Ishaku Simon, Habila Bitrus Zo’o, Mr. Haruna Appolos, Hakuri Simon, Inspector Madalla E Rinas, Monday Bitrus Landi, Sir Dadi Ayuba now a teacher in GDSS Bazanshi, Bani Gashon who was the head boy of the school in 1998 mention few.

 

In a telephone interview with Mr. Haruna Appolos which popularly known as Codee who is now a teacher in GDSS Gizaki spoke on behalf of the old boys said that they are very happy with the Federal Government under the supervision of UBEC for bringing development to their hometown.

 

Appolos said that it’s because of the knowledge, skills, and experience that they get from the 40 ancient primary schools that made them to be where they are today and be performing well in their job.

 

However, the recent development witnessed in the area is giving the people in the community hope and confidence that their children will have access to quality and better education.

 

The village Head of the community Mr. Samaila Ndhr, said he is now convinced that their children will have the knowledge to read and write.

 

He also appreciated the Federal Government under the supervision of UBEC for choosing the Mbal Community as one of the beneficiaries of President Muhammadu Buhari’s developmental programs across the country.

 

The village head promised to give them maximum support during the construction works on the classroom block, adding that the project when completed will be adequately guarded by the community.

 

He appealed to the Bauchi State Government under the leadership of Governor Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir Kauran Bauchi and other prominent politicians in the area to also contribute towards the development of education in Mbal community.
