Following the recent hike in prices of 50kh bag of sugar, Residents of Lafia, The Nasarawa State capital has sent a Save Our Soul Message to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to make life bearable for the citizenry by ensuring that he put a stop to the rising waves of prices of bread.
During a market survey at the weekend, it was gathered that the slight increase in the price of sugar affects the normal price of bread which was sold for N1000 and now goes for N1,200, Another bread that experienced a slight price increase is Chertz bread.
Also, God favor bread which goes for N1,000 now goes for N1,200 within the shortest period, It was gathered that the same bread was sold for N900 in the last two weeks before the recent hike of 50kg bag of sugar.
The hike in price of a 50kg bag of sugar also foist Queens Bread to shut DOWN operation, as bread that was before sold for N1,000 now goes for N1,200 while White Light bread which was before then N900 goes for N1,000 while small bread that goes for N600 is now N700.
A refined bread, Malted bread (small) loaf which was sold for N600 is currently N1000 while the one for N1,000 is now N1,200.
Gold Star bread which is N1,100 is presently N1,200 while the people’s delight E-3 has sharply goes up, The one of N550 is presently N6,000, and the one of N250 is now N270 and the one of N150 goes for N170,The bread of N300 is now N400 and the bread of N450 is now N500
There was sly increase in the prices of Family King Size bread which was sold for N1,100 is now N1,200 only.
