Removal  of Akwanga APC Chairman Was A  Directive From Governor Sule–Deputy Speaker Tell Journalists

The Deputy Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Nehemiah Tsentse Dandaura has said the suspension and removal of the controversial Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Akwanga Local Government, Mr.Micah Magaji was the directive by the State Governor, Engr.Abdullahi Sule.

 

The Deputy Speaker of the State Assembly, Hon. Nehemiah Tsentse disclosed this during an interview with selected Journalists in his office, He said the party Chairman of Akwanga Local Government is paying allegiance to the former Deputy Governor Silas Ali Agara more than the sitting Governor as the second reason.

 

He said the unfolding is not at par with the happenings in the party, The Deputy Speaker explained that since the assumption of Engr. Sule as Governor Mr.Micah is yet to visit the Governor, He said, other sins of Mr.Micah Magaji include the diversion of money to the tune of N1.5m meant to pay rent of offices.

 

“Micah secured an office at a lower rent and failed to pay for office up to the extent that the party was evicted from the office and the rents accumulated for years.

 

Hon. Dandaura further opined that Mr.Micah was disloyal and incompetent to steer the affairs of the party in Akwanga been the Local Government of the Governor

 

He buttressed that 18 party executives from the Local Government signed the removal of Micah Magaji.

 

Hon. Nehemiah explained that critical stakeholders excluding the former Deputy Governor, Silas Agara, and Senator John Danboyi were absent as the former party Chairman of Akwanga Local Government was replaced by his Deputy, Hon. Dantala Bagudu.

 

When asked whether Danboyi was annoyed because they duo did not support his ambition to be appointed as Ambassador, The Deputy Speaker maintained that he was not aware of whether Senator John Danboyi lobby for the position of Ambassador.

 

“The Governor reaffirmed that the party Chairman Micah should go because is not with him”.

 

He averred that Hussaini Zanwa Akwanga wade into the rumpus by organizing Mada stakeholders meeting with Governor Sule at the Government House but Silas Agara and John Danboyi were conspicuously absent without excuse or apology either.

 

When asked whether there was a rift between stakeholders in Mada land, He confided that majority of people in Mada land especially Senator Danboyi, APC Chairman, Micah Magaji, The Commissioner of Commerce, Trade and Investment and few others the likes of Commissioner of Commerce, Trade and Investment, Hon. Boyi is at loggerhead with him.

 

The Deputy Speaker said APC stakeholders were sharply divided and failed to recognize him as the party leader been the number four citizen in the State.

 

While commenting over the press statement issued by the Secretary of the party, Aliyu Bello, Hon. Nehemiah unfolded that the press release has been taken by an event.

 

“The press statement is no longer relevant on the issue at stake because the Governor has taken over the matter”, He further explained.

 

It would be recalled that the leadership of the All Progressives Congress has described the suspension and subsequent inauguration of the Deputy Chairman of Akwanga, Dantala Bagudu as the new Chairman of the party by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Yakubu Kwonta Boher and the Deputy Speaker, Nehemiah Tsentse Dandaura.

 

The reaction was contained in a press release signed by the State Secretary of the party, Aliyu Bello, and made available to Press, The statement described the action taken by the party officials and appointees as an affront to the leadership of the party.

 

The statement by the Secretary of the party ascribed the action as null and void as well an aberration to the party constitution, saying Mr.Micah Magaji remind the substantive party Chairman of Akwanga Local Government.

 

We call on all party Executives in all the Wards of Akwanga Local Government Area to support the leadership of Mr. Micah Magaji as the duly elected and substantive Chairman of the party in the area.

 

An investigation gathered revealed that Hon. Kwonta, a former Chairman of Akwanga Local Government was playing the script of Governor Abdullahi Sule who planted his stooge as the Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress of Akwanga Local Government Council.

 

The unfolding has shown that the State party executives are sharply divided over the decision, It was unveiled that the organizing Secretary of the party, Hassan Wali, The zonal leader of the party, Salihu Jambo are in the same camp with Kwonta and are ready to fight tough to seize away power from the Director-General, campaign, Senator Danboyi who are the loyalists of Engr. Sule is saying would not help him not to be indicted

 

Feelers from Akwanga APC revealed that Mr.Micah has shown 100 percent loyalty to the immediate past Deputy Governor, Silas Agara, Only time shall tell if the unfolding would spread across the thirteen Local Government.

 

The immediate past Deputy Governor, Silas Agara would not be reached at press time for comment, But the Special Adviser to the Governor on Youth And Sports Development, Yakubu Kwonta promised to speak to the press on 20/07/2020.

 

Our reporter can authoritatively confirm that Kwonta diverted the contact of reporters willing to verify the information before going to the press.

 

It was gathered that Senator John  Danboyi, The Director-General A.A.Sule  Campaign Organization was excused from the inauguration of the new Chairman of Akwanga Local Government by the S.A on Youth, Yakubu Kwonta, The situation that led to open melee by supporters of the two rivalry groups.

 

Feelers from Akwanga said Senator Danboyi was forcefully removed from the meeting organized by the de-facto Chairman of the party, Yakubu Kwonta because he is presently in support of a former Deputy Governor, Silas Agara, It was revealed that Agara was conspicuously absent from the party office.
