The Concerned Bauchi APC stakeholders has that it’s attention has been drawn to disturbing developments surrounding the conduct of recent House of Representatives primaries in Bauchi State under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), particularly the imposition of ad-hoc delegates and officials allegedly loyal to a serving federal minister, Dr. Ali Pate.
In a statement signed by the stakeholders it said; “This development represents a dangerous and unacceptable interference in the internal democratic processes of our great party.”
“It is deeply troubling that individuals with vested political interests are now attempting to hijack party structures, undermine legitimate leadership, and manipulate the outcome of party primaries through the deployment of handpicked ad-hoc officials outside the knowledge and consent of critical stakeholders within the party.”
“The conduct of the recent House of Representatives primaries has generated widespread dissatisfaction among party members, aspirants, and loyal stakeholders across the state.
“What was expected to be a transparent democratic exercise has instead been overshadowed by allegations of imposition, exclusion, intimidation, and the sidelining of established party structures.
According to the group, there are alarming allegations that the party’s internal administrative framework has been compromised through the manipulation of key positions within the state executive structure in order to advance narrow political interests ahead of the forthcoming senatorial and gubernatorial primaries.”
“No individual, regardless of position or influence, should be allowed to appropriate the APC structure in Bauchi State for personal ambition,” it warns.
“The APC is a political party governed by rules, consultation, inclusion, and internal democracy — not by unilateral control or the deployment of loyalists to impose preferred candidates on members.
“We therefore call on the national leadership of the APC to urgently intervene in order to safeguard the integrity of the party and restore confidence among aspirants and stakeholders ahead of the forthcoming primaries.
“Failure to address these concerns may deepen internal divisions, weaken party cohesion, and ultimately endanger the electoral fortunes of the APC in Bauchi State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
“We reiterate our commitment to justice, fairness, transparency, and credible democratic processes within the party.
“The voices of genuine party members must not be silenced by political intimidation or the manipulation of party machinery for personal succession agendas.
