Mixed reactions have continued to trail the appointments of a new Bursar for Nasarawa State Polytechnic, Lafia by the visitor of the institution, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura.
A source who spoke to universalreportersng.com said the appointment of an outsider is a breach of the laid down rules.
He further opined that it is the mandate of the Governing Council of the institution to write to the Chief executive who will give approval.
The top management staff who spoke on the condition of anonymity described the appointment as an aberration to the laid down rules as an insider; Opa Namo was fingered as Bursar.
The appointment Of Ibrahim Alhaji Adhama as the new and substantive Bursar comes as a surprise to the Polytechnic community.
Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura on Sunday 8/4/2018 approved the following appointments for the College of Education Akwanga and Nasarawa State Polytechnic, Lafia.
They Safiyanu Audu as the Registrar of the College of Education, Akwanga. He holds a Master Degree in Public Administration from the University of Jos.
Until his appointment, he was the Deputy Registrar of the College.
While Ibrahim Alhaji Adhama was appointed as the Bursar of Nasarawa State Polytechnic, Lafia.
He holds a Master Degree in Public Sector Accounting from Nasarawa State University, Keffi.
Until his appointment, he was the Assistant Director and Head of salary at the National Assembly, Abuja.
All the appointments are with immediate effect.
